Team agents
Team agents
Share an agent so your team works from the same documents, skills and connections.
A team agent is an agent shared with your colleagues. Everyone works from its documents and skills. Each person still talks to it in a chat of their own.
To share one, see Collaborators. What each person can do depends on their role.
How it works today
- Each person has a private chat with the agent.
- Documents anyone makes or uploads appear for everyone.
- Each person answers their own approval cards.
Your chat is never shown to teammates. Handovers happen through documents, which keeps them clean.
Work in a shared agent
- 1
Open the shared agent
Click it in your Agents group.
- 2
Chat with it
Ask for what you need. Your conversation is yours alone.
- 3
Open a shared document
Anything a teammate or the agent made is in its documents.
- 4
Edit together
Open the same note as a teammate. Changes merge live as you both type.
- 5
Hand over in a document
Ask the agent to write what you did into a shared note, so the next person can pick it up.
Live co-editing
Open the same note as a teammate to edit it together. Changes merge live.
While the agent writes to a document, the document is read-only for you. It opens up again when the agent's turn ends.
Version history is the shared undo. See Editing.
Patterns that work
End a shift in a handover note: summarise today's chat into @Handover. The next person reads one document, not your conversation.
Give each person their own task in the shared agent. To catch up, ask what changed in this agent this week?
Coming next
Two changes will let a team work with one agent in the open. Neither is available yet.
Team agent chat gives the agent one shared conversation. Everyone posts there, and the agent replies when someone mentions it.
Team tasks give each task one conversation the whole team can read. One person works in it at a time, and it can be handed over.
Team chat and team tasks are rolling out. Watch Status Updates in Guides & Updates, described in Agents.
