Subscribing skills
Let an agent use another agent's skills, kept in one place and updated for everyone.
A skills subscription lets an agent use another agent's skills without copying them. Keep a team playbook on one agent, like a House Style agent, and have the others subscribe.
When someone improves a skill on its own agent, every subscriber uses the new version on its next run.
Subscribe to skills
- Open the agent's Subscribe tab in the Computer panel.
- Click Subscribe, or the ⊕ beside the heading.
- Expand the source agent and tick Skills.
- Click Done.
Skills brings every skill of the source, including ones added later. To take a single skill, type its name in the dialog's search box and tick it there.
Where they show
Subscribed skills appear in the Skills tab with your own. Each is marked with its source agent's picture. Its supporting files stay on the source, so the row has no folder. The agent still reaches those files when it runs the skill.
You run a subscribed skill the same way as your own: with /, Run, or by asking.
Read-only here
A subscribed skill is read-only inside the subscribing agent, for everyone. It opens greyed out, with only Clone.
- To change it, choose Go to skill in its row's ⋯ menu. It opens on its own agent, where you can edit it if you can edit that agent.
- To adapt it for this agent only, Clone it. The copy is yours and no longer follows the original.
Updating a skill covers both.
Always on stays at home
A skill set to Always on applies on its own agent and that agent's tasks. It never reaches a subscribing agent. There it works like On demand, used when a request matches.
Personal Assistants lend no skills
A subscription to a Personal Assistant brings its documents only, never its skills. Keep skills you want to share on a working agent instead.
Untick Skills to stop using the source's skills. They vanish from this agent at once and stay untouched on the source.
