Agent Library

Connectors

The ways to connect the systems you already use, so agents can work in them with your approval.

A connector links Agent Hero to a system you already use, such as your accounting, mail or files. It lives as a connector agent under Connector Agents in your sidebar, holding one sign-in. Your other agents can then read and act in that system mid-chat, with your approval.

Connections work live. Nothing is copied into Agent Hero unless you ask the agent to save it as a document.

From the Agent Library

Connect an account
  1. Install the system's card from the Agent Library.
  2. The new connector agent opens. Click Connection at the top of its pane.
  3. Click Connect and sign in on the provider's own page. Your password never reaches Agent Hero.
  4. Choose the account or organisation if the provider asks.

The button turns into a green Connected badge.

A few connectors take an API key or token instead of a sign-in. Paste it into the secure connect window, never into the chat.

Ask the agent

Connect from chat

In any chat, ask to connect the system, such as "connect Xero". The agent installs the connector agent if you don't have one, and links itself to it. A connect card in the reply says so. Click Connect Xero on the card to sign in.

Add from a link

In some workspaces, you can give the agent a link to a service the library doesn't have, and it connects it for you. The result is a personal connector only you can see. See Personal Connectors.

Use a shared one

You don't always need your own sign-in. Chat with a connector agent someone shared with you, or install a library card marked Shared connection · read-only, which uses the publisher's connection.

Org Connectors covers what reaches the whole organisation.

Built in

Every agent can search the web and read a page from a link. There is nothing to install.

Searches leave Agent Hero

What the agent searches for, and the pages it reads, go to the search service. Don't put anything in a search you wouldn't type into a search engine.

One connector, many agents

Keep one connector agent per account, then subscribe your working agents to it with Connector tools. For a second account, such as another company or a shared mailbox, click Install again on the card. Reconnecting and disconnecting are on Personal Connectors.

Approvals on connector calls

In the default permission mode, Auto-accept edits, every call to a connected system shows an approval card. Reads ask too. Always allow isn't offered on these cards.

Only Bypass all stops them, and it stops every other card too. Keep agents that touch money or mail off Bypass all until a routine has proven itself. A scheduled run stops at the first card nobody answers.

Sharing and safety

The connection belongs to the connector agent's owner. When you share that agent, others use the connection only by chatting with it. They never see your sign-in.

Through your shared agent, they…ViewerEditor / Full
Chat with it and read its documents✓✓
Read live data through the connection—✓
Write to the system through it—✓
Connect, disconnect or reconnect it——

Guests follow the same rules. Editor and Full can use every tool the connection offers, deleting included.

Connector tools appears only on connector agents you own. Ticked on someone else's agent, everyone who can edit that agent uses your connection. Sharing one of your own working agents at Editor or Full also lends every connection it subscribes to with Connector tools.

Bypass all removes the cards

A recipient who switches their own chat to Bypass all uses your connection without any cards. Give Editor or Full only to people you'd trust to act in that system directly. Connect only an account whose data you're happy for the agent to see.
