Overview
Overview of layout
The menu, the agent pane, the chat and the Computer panel, and the keys that move you between them.
Agent Hero is one window. The menu runs down the left. Beside it, a header runs across the top, and under it sit the agent pane, the chat and the agent's Computer panel.
The menu
On a computer, the menu starts as a strip of icons down the left. At the top are Open menu, New agent, Agents Library and Search. If your workspace lets only admins create agents, New agent shows for admins alone. Your agents follow, with a line between groups. Your account picture sits alone at the bottom.
A team agent shows the faces of the people on it under its icon. When more agents exist than fit, arrows at the top and bottom of the list page through the rest.
To open the full menu, click Open menu or drag the strip's right edge to the right. It floats over the page. Drag the edge back, click outside it, press Esc or click Close menu to put it away.
Click Pin menu to dock it beside your work instead. It pushes the page over and stays open as you move around. Unpin menu sets it floating again. The pin only shows when the window is wide enough.
The full menu lists your agents in three groups. Your Personal Assistant comes first. Drag an agent to move it within its group.
| Group | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Agents | Your Personal Assistant, your agents, agents shared with you |
| Connector Agents | Installed connectors such as Xero and Outlook |
| Global Agents | Guides & Updates from Agent Hero, read-only |
Click your account picture for your account, your workspace, light or dark mode, and Settings. In the full menu, the same controls sit along the bottom. See Understanding accounts & workspaces.
Numbers on agents
A number beside an agent counts what waits in it and its tasks. Its colour shows the most urgent kind.
| Colour | Means |
|---|---|
| Red | A run failed |
| Amber | The agent is waiting for you |
| Green | Work finished since you last looked |
The header
One row runs across the top of the window, above the agent pane, the chat and the Computer panel. It has three parts.
| Part | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Left | The agent's face, name and role. On an agent shared with you, a badge shows your access: Viewer, Editor or Full. |
| Middle | In a task, the task's name. Then the faces of the people on the agent, with ⊕ to invite someone. In a task, its status follows. |
| Right | Two icons that show or hide the chat and the Computer panel |
On a narrower window only one of the chat and the Computer panel fits, so the two icons take turns. Phones leave the access badge out. See Collaborators for who is on an agent.
The agent pane
Pick an agent to open its pane. The Search field at the top opens Search. Under it is the agent's own row, its main chat. Its Tasks follow. The + beside Tasks opens a dialog with Task, Schedule and Event tabs. See Agents.
Hide agent sidebar tucks the pane away. Show agent sidebar in the header brings it back.
The chat
The chat sits beside the pane. Type into Ask anything... and press Enter. The agent replies, uses tools, makes documents and shows approval cards here. See Agent chat.
The Computer panel
The Computer panel is on the right. Icons along its top switch between Documents, Skills, Channels and Subscribe. Agents that can't hold skills have no Skills tab. A Search field sits under the icons, and a document you open shows here too.
Keyboard shortcuts
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⌘K, or Ctrl+K | Opens or closes Search |
| ⌘⇧O, or Ctrl+Shift+O | Opens the new task dialog for this agent |
Search finds agents and documents. Before you type, it lists recent ones.
