Subscription
Subscribing documents
Let an agent read all of another agent's documents, some folders, or one document.
A documents subscription lets an agent read another agent's documents where they live. Use it for reference material many agents need, like ledgers, price lists or templates.
Pick what to read
- Open the agent's Subscribe tab in the Computer panel.
- Click Subscribe, or the ⊕ beside the heading.
- Expand the source agent.
- Tick All documents, or only the parts you need.
- Click Done.
| Tick | What the agent reads |
|---|---|
| All documents | Every document of the source and its tasks |
| Root documents | Only the documents not in a folder |
| A folder | That folder and everything inside it |
Root documents and the folders appear only when the source has folders. Each tick saves as you go.
Ticks follow the source as it changes. A new document in a subscribed folder shows up on its own.
One document only
Type in the dialog's search box to find a single document. Tick it to subscribe to just that document. It then appears in the dialog's list, where you can remove it again.
Where they show
In the Documents tab, each source appears as a folder named after it, with the source's picture. Inside, the source's own folders keep their shape. A single subscribed document sits on its own, outside those folders, marked with its source's picture.
The agent's chat can find, read and search these documents, like its own. Its tasks can read them too.
Read-only, even for you
Subscribed documents open read-only, even if you own the source. To change one, open it in its home agent.
Where Can edit is switched on, the source's owner or an org admin can let people who edit this agent edit and add documents in the subscribed folders. Deleting always stays with the source. See Read-only or Can edit.
Personal Assistants lend documents only
When the source is a Personal Assistant, you get its documents and folders only. Its skills and tools are never offered.
Untick a folder or All documents to stop reading it. The documents vanish from this agent at once and stay untouched on the source.
